18e Catalunya Open krijgt mogelijk een Oranjebar tintje.
Zaterdag aanstaande zal het Open Catalunya in het nog immer zonnige Callela van start gaan. Het toernooi kent 6 speeldagen met een goed gevuld dart programma. De prijzenpot is gevuld met onder andere 1.200 euro voor de winnaar in het herentoernooi en 600 euro voor de winnares bij de dames.
Onder de deelnemers zullen ook een aantal spelers uit de Oranjebar SLN teams aanwezig zijn. Benito van de Pas, Peter van den Broek, Willem Mandigers en oud winnaars Braulio Roncero en Ron Meulenkamp staan in Catalunya aan de oche. Naast deze namen komen nog veel meer (top)spelers in actie daar het toernooi al voor de 18e maal georganiseerd wordt en ook jaarlijks op een groot Brits deelnemersveld kan rekenen.
Een bonus is dit jaar te verdienen tijdens de Open Barcelona dat op de dag na de prijsuitreiking in Callela (zondag) wordt gehouden en waar voor de winnende man en dame een deelnamebewijs voor de Winmau 2012 klaarligt.
